A traditional bouzouki band of young and very talented musicians called the Pyrinas Band performed last night at the Amricani Cultural Centre to a very appreciative packed  house. They performed old rebetiko songs and urban Greek folk music using the bouzouki; an instrument that plays a sharp metallic sound reminiscent of a mandolin.

The enrapturing music delighted all. The lovely vocalist sang along to a few of the songs and encouraged the audience to join in by clapping along, which they did heartily. A truly wonderful time was had by all.

Many thanks to DAI for organising such amazing free cultural events, the incredible Pyrinas Band and to the sprightly Greek Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Theodorus Theodorou.

A fabulous evening.
