My Daughter Sheikha Just Call Her YRH

Off with their heads

Okay, so I'm a big fan of dressing up my dolly but 3 different outfits in one week!!

Last week at school my petit choufleur had French day (and I could not find a beret anywhere but she looked suitably attired in red and white striped t-shirt, white capris and tri-colour neck scarf). Much kudos to the mum who made her kid up as Marcelle Marceau, bravo! Why the hell didn't I think of that.

Then two days later there's fashion day, which my doll was dying to dress up for - seems it was a runway walk and they had to put on the attitude - something my babe is a master at. So mum's old fringed flapper dress (don't ask ;O) pearls, a blonde bob wig, sequin headband, lipstick and a beauty spot. Tah dah! God only knows what the neighbour's thought.

Next day was history day. Fortunately we managed to buy an Elizabethan dress off her teacher, who presumably ordered it from the net only to receive a Chinese size 12 which would only fit a 10 year old.  Had some fun stapling her into that one. Whitened face and a pearly head piece and she was set. Had my fingers crossed that she would not repeat the horrible wardrobe malfunction she had at age 5 when she tripped over her Cinderella ballgown and it tore a huge hole along the bodice from left to right that you could drive a bus through. Only the zipper at the back was keeping the whole skirt from falling around her feet. Alas she had exposed her mismatched underwear (greying oldish vest and princess panties with the transfer washed off) for all the KG boys to see. Had to go out and buy her several sets of matching princess underwear before she'd return to school again. Which, of course, she proceeded to show all her female classmates at any and every occasion.

  2. Baby Doll looks soooooo pretty. Love her pose and her dress. She must have had a great time. Don't girls love dressing up! And hey, you've done a nice work of dressing her up so well. If you have more photos of your daughter in the other two costumes, do post them.
