Royal Animal Hospital Alert to Dog and Cat Owners

IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

ALL DOGS BEING BOOKED FOR APPOINTMENTS AT RAH OR AS WALK-INS THAT HAVE HAD VOMITING OR DIARHOEA SHOULD WAIT IN THE OWNERS CARS OR REMAIN IN A CAGE.

THEY MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO SIT ON THE FLOOR OR CHAIRS IN THE WAITING ROOM OR HAVE CONTACT WITH OTHER DOGS.

ALL OWNERS OF UN-VACCINATED PUPPIES MUST CARRY THEIR PUPPY OR KEEP IN IT A CAGE AND NOT LET IN LOOSE IN THE WAITING ROOM.

We must all work together to reduce the risks of parvovirus. Thank you all for your support - it really does seem to be a very virulent strain and from what RAH see all vaccines are not equal in their protection, or have not been given at the right intervals and not completed courses. Also puppies are being separated from their mothers and sold at too young an age - often being exposed at pet stores to residual virus from previously infected puppies.

LWDLIK -  Thanks Dr Jill. This is scary and sad.
