Busy Day: Royal Garden Party, Need Suitable Dress, Need To Practise My Curtesy And Dash Off To A Halloween Party

Curtsey Dos and Dont's (I had to google at this one and it wasn't much help).

Curtsey politely.

Stand, with your lead foot in front, legs slightly overlapped. Have hands clasped behind the back, in front of the skirt or one folded across the waist. bend at the knees, back straight (you may need to adjust your legs for this) for added politeness, incline or bow the head.

Curtsey impolitely.

This is as above, but lift the skirt, or leave your arms at your sides. Either way indicates you believe the person to whom you are curtseying is 'cheap', or someone of little honor or sexually immoral. Wear pants and NEVER show them.

Hmmmm...

Have asked Acanthe School of Etiquette & Protocol for some tips.

The Halloween party was far more fun than the royal garden party.

  4. Hi Kuweight 64, Happy Halloween sweety :OD It was a great party our dear J always has great Halloween parties for the kids. Guess the bowl contents - cold beans, porridge with lychees in it, spaghetti, hairy rambutan fruits, LOL. They did scream in the haunted tent where two of BAIA's finest budding actors terrified them. Pumpkin pinata and musical statues. Thank you J, my darling girl - you are a superstar!

Prince Charles? I believe that you don't have to curtsey.....it's optional

  6. @ Expataussiegal, thank God it's optional! Because in heels on grass is a daring feat, worthy of YouTube. :O Thanks.
