Auditions for KLT's “Arsenic & Old Lace”

Arsenic & Old Lace is the farcical black comedy about play critic Mortimer Brewster and his cast of wacky relations. Auditions for this wonderful comedy will take place at the KLT June 7th & 9th from 7-9pm, and June 11th from 10am-1pm.

SYNOPSIS

Aunt Abby Brewster and her sister Martha are two nice, sweet old ladies whose favourite charity act includes murdering lonely old men by offering them elderberry wine spiked with arsenic. The sisters’ crazy but harmless brother Teddy believes he is Teddy Roosevelt and digs graves in the Brewster cellar, burying the sisters’ victims whom he believes are yellow fever casualties working on the Panama Canal. Complications set in when Mortimer learns of the sisters’ activities; and matters get more farcical when another Brewster nephew, the criminal Jonathan on the lam, and a strange Dr. Einstein arrive with the body of their latest victim.

A definite ‘must-see’ coming to the KLT this September, come on down June 7th, 9th and 11th to audition, and don’t miss being a part of the funniest show this fall!
