Following the murder of an unidentified Kuwaiti woman in Bneid Al-Gar, there have been conflicting reports about her death.
The Al-Anba daily said the victim had received several threats from her ex-husband and that he had promised not to harm her after she had filed a complaint with the police.
However, the daily added the ‘suspect’ and the victim’s relatives are being interrogated by the police to find out the motives behind the murder who was reportedly ‘chopped’ with a cleaver.
The victim died on the spot and the daily quoting reliable sources said she was killed after she was reportedly seen coming out of a residential apartment where single men live.
The apartment is believed to be owned by an unidentified major working for the fire-fighting department. It has also been reported this building is known for holding night parties.
However, the Al-Anba daily has given a different version of the story. According to the daily, police are still looking for the suspect. At the same time, the daily quoting police sources said the ex-husband has left the country.
The daily also said the man entered the country illegally to commit the crime.
